About Anchor Luxury Watch Co.

A Different Way to Buy a Watch

Anchor Luxury Watch Co. is a private, by-appointment dealer in Southeastern Connecticut, specializing in Rolex and Tudor. We were built on a simple belief: acquiring a fine timepiece should feel personal and unhurried, never transactional. Every watch is authenticated, every price is grounded in the live market, and every conversation happens on your terms.

Our Story

It Started with a Submariner

Anchor’s story doesn’t begin in a showroom. It begins in the late 1990s aboard the USS Wyoming (SSBN 742), where founder Ryan Hartman was serving on his first submarine. A few duty days in, he watched a Duty Chief run the boat like nothing he had ever seen. The Chief didn’t just act the part; he looked it too, right down to the Rolex Submariner on his wrist and what it stood for: qualified in submarines, and proud of it.

That day set the course for the next 25 years. Ryan earned his khakis and wore them proudly until the day he retired from the Navy. The Submariner had to wait; other things kept getting in the way. Today he has a few to choose from, and Anchor is how he helps others close the gap between the watch they’ve promised themselves and the watch on their wrist.

Every piece that passes through Anchor is hand-selected, authenticated, and priced against live market data, so both sides of the table can move forward with confidence.

“There’s no pressure here, no sales floor, no rush. Just two people who both care about the right watch at the right price.”

— Ryan Hartman, Founder

The Journey

Twenty-Five Years in the Making

01 · Late 1990s

A Chief and His Submariner

Aboard the USS Wyoming, a Duty Chief ran the boat like nothing Ryan had ever seen. He didn’t just act the part; he looked it. On his wrist sat a Rolex Submariner, worn as a quiet mark of what it means to be qualified in submarines.

02 · The Khakis

Earning the Anchor

It took years, but Ryan put on the khakis of a Navy Chief and wore them proudly until the day he retired, 25 years of service in all. The watch would have to wait. The standard it represented never did.

03 · After the Navy

An Inspector's Eye

Civilian life brought a successful home inspection business: a trade built on detail, documentation, and telling people the truth about what they’re buying. The same discipline now guards every watch that passes through Anchor.

04 · Today

Anchor Luxury Watch Co.

The promise, finally kept. Ryan wears the Submariner on his own terms and helps others reach their watch goals, from a first Rolex to a lifelong grail, with the same standards he served under.
